My project:
Camera Shots Quiz P1.pptx The directions were to create a movie, but with just pictures, so a comic, but no words. You had to use one or two objects that would be your characters for our story, we were also allowed to use humans. The plot had to be school-appropriate of course, and it had to include some specific shots like an establishing shot, a long shot, 2 close-ups and medium shots, and some others. My partner and I chose to use 2 crayons since they were the most interesting, but also had a flat bottom so it could stand up by itself. We decided on a story of two crayons trying to escape an empty classroom because it reminded me of the movie Toy Story. We had to quickly think about what shots made sense with what scenes since we needed to write down our steps to get approved. It was separated into two colums, the left one was what shot it was, like a medium shot for example, and the right side was the context, the crayons are jumping off the table for an example.
I think we did pretty well on deciding on the plot of the story and meeting the shots requirement however, I think our picture taking needs to be worked on. It could've been better if we weren't trying to rush the photos. Class was ending, and it took us a while to write down the plan, get it approved, and get pictures with no one in the shots, since our story takes place in an empty classroom, but we did try our best with the time we had left. I think it turned out pretty well for a story about two crayons, but then again, I'm not too good at judging movies.
